Water Department
Residents and businesses receive a combined water, sewage, and garbage bill monthly. Bills can be either mailed, paid at the Reading Municipal Building, or there is a night depository at the Municipal Building located at the north corner of the parking lot at Market and Pike St. We accept cash, check, money orders, credit card, or you can set up for ACH payment (Call the office to receive the paperwork to have the ACH payments taken directly out of your checking account). There is a 10 percent late charge on bills.
To pay by Credit Card, go to https://www.cubicutilitybilling.com/portal/readingoh/customerlogin.html. If you have already registered your account, you will be able to login and view account activity and pay your bill. If you haven’t registered an account yet, you’ll need your book number, account number, service address (as displayed on your utility bill), and an email address on file with the Water Department. Once you enter these, you’ll be able to register an account for access to the Customer Online Services. If you do not have an email address on file with the Water Department, please call us at city hall to provide an email address. You may also make phone payments by calling 1-800-272-9829. To pay via this method, enter the Jurisdiction Code of 8416. You will be prompted for your account information as well. There is a $3.95 fee to use credit cards. You may also have your payment automatically deducted from your checking/savings account using our ACH Debits. Click on the link to download the ACH FORM. Please fill it out and either drop off or mail us a fully completed form.
