Jim Pfennig - Council Member at Large


Jim Pfennig has served as a member of Reading Council for 18 years.  Jim is the current Chairman of the Recreation Committee of Council, also serving on the Health and Safety and Finance Committees.   

 

Jim is now retired, after operating his Family Market at Jefferson and Vine for over twenty years.  Jim remains involved in the community, an active member in the following groups:  American Legion Post 69, VFW 5711, Reading Kiwanis, Knights of St. John, Knights of Columbus, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and many community and school committees.  Jim has also served the task as Chairman of the Memorial Day Parade Committee.   He is also very proud of his 19 gallon blood donor pin.

 

Jim is the father of three sons; grandfather of four; and great-grandfather of one.  He is a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Parish, where is a Lector and member of the Bereavement Committee.
